For our final 2017 event, Kiddy hosted an exclusive breakfast: ‘The Drag Of The Past And The Challenge Of The Future: How To Approach Talent Management When Transformation Is Vital.’

Our Head of Research, Dr Zara Whysall, shared insights from our latest research into the barriers and enablers of transformative talent management in the environment of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and our guest speaker, Sarah Armstrong, HR Director at Rolls-Royce, provided a frank and engaging insight into the current and anticipated future challenges in attracting, developing, and retaining talent in a complex organisation, within a rapidly changing external environment, and challenging resource context.

The full house of guests from wide ranging sectors generated lively discussion around the key talent challenges which traverse sector boundaries.  Key points of discussion centred on:

  1.  HR as a change agent – creating the right level of disruption
  2.  Maximising internal talent mobility – enabling talent flows across organisational silos
  3.  The magnificent middle – engaging the middle layer to become a talent enabler
