Ernst & Young: Development Programmes
“Kiddy quickly understood our organisation and made a very positive difference to our Partner Team.”
UK Managing Partner
Kiddy designed and ran development programmes for Ernst & Young high potentials.
Ernst & Young had a number of individuals identified as having potential to progress to partner level within the firm.
As part of their development programme, the firm wanted to give them rich, personalised feedback on their style, strengths and areas for development.
They commissioned Kiddy to carry out individual profiling for 100 participants.
We designed a profiling process that incorporated an extended biographical interview together with feedback using leading-edge personality tools. This enabled us to develop a detailed view of an individual’s strengths and areas for development.
We then gave them all one to one feedback, with development actions and associated priorities.
The key aim of our approach was to give people new insights into their style and behaviours. As the programme rolled out, it became clear that participants valued not just this aspect of the process, but also the opportunity to step outside their day-jobs and discuss their development with an external, objective person.
This in turn helped them achieve perspective on their own performance, and helped them take forward the dialogue with their sponsoring partners back in the firm.
100 people attended the personal profiles and feedback was very positive, with 85% of participants reported a renewed energy for their development and new awareness of their behaviours. The investment by Ernst & Young into this crucial group of people was recognised across the firm.
